Hello all,
The brain, which constructs our world and hosts our minds, is still very far from being understood. Introduction to Cognitive Science is a 10-week course aimed at beginners to brain science. This introductory course, which assumes no prior experience, covers the history of our long journey towards discovering the brain. We explore the new and rapidly changing field of cognitive science, a field of brain science which draws on linguistics, mathematics, artificial intelligence and philosophy as well as psychology, neuroscience and biology. We will ask some very important questions: How does the mind work? Can AI build a mind? Is the brain a computer? What does it mean to be conscious and sentient, and can AI ever have conscious experience in the same way we do?
